Dr. Meleah Ackley, PhD, BCBA
Dr. Meleah Ackley, PhD, BCBA has been in the Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA) field
since 2015. She earned her master’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in Applied
Behavior Analysis (ABA). Driven by a passion for data-based decision-making and
behavioral approaches, she pursued a PhD in School Psychology at the University of
Southern Mississippi. Her clinical journey includes a doctoral internship at the Monroe-
Meyer Institute, where she specialized in a feeding program. This was followed by a
post-doctoral program at Children's Nebraska. During which, she conducted diagnostic
assessments for ADHD and Autism, provided Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT),
and assisted children and their families with behavioral-based interventions.
Dr. Ackley’s services included those across various settings, including schools, homes,
hospital interdisciplinary teams, and behavioral clinics. Experience included a range of
services, from direct ABA interventions to diagnostic assessments for children and
families of neurodivergent individuals. Her approach is grounded in curiosity and caring,
ensuring that both clients and staff are supported in a compassionate and present-
focused manner. Dr. Ackley is also deeply committed to training others, believing in the
importance of strong foundational skills. She has special interests in Autism/ADHD
assessment, connecting families to resources, and behavioral skills training- all aimed
at enhancing the lives of those she serves. Work/life balance is important to her;
hobbies include playing with her 2 cats and dog, board games, walking outdoors,
drawing/painting, and reading books in the Fantasy genre.
