Lacy Baker, M.A., BCBA, Behavior Analyst

Meet Lacy Baker, M.A., BCBA, Behavior Analyst.

Lacy began her ABA journey as a Research Assistant with the Florida State University (FSU) Autism Institute in 2014. She collaborated with other professionals to develop a rating system for providers to detect symptoms of Autism with patients as early as 16 months. Slowly but surely, Lacy became interested in applying what she learned and started working in the field of ABA in 2015. She graduated from FSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Soon after, Lacy enrolled in the University of West Florida and went on to earn a master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education with an emphasis in ABA. Lacy’s dedication for providing care significantly increased after she had a stroke in 2019. During the recovery process, she experienced the benefits of receiving high quality therapy services. She was determined to get back in the field and eventually received her BCBA certification in 2021. Lacy has experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities in the home, school and community settings who engaged in severe maladaptive behaviors. She also has experience implementing procedures to increase coping and emotional regulation and self-management skills in various settings. Lacy’s primary interests are providing effective training and supervision to staff and other key individuals to facilitate positive outcomes with the clients; educating clients about sexual health and behavior for adolescents with special needs; and monitoring overall quality of services.
